About the Speakers
Professor Rolf Engelbrecht and Professor Otto Rienhoff began their careers as research associates of Prof. Reichertz. Otto Rienhoff became Professor of Medical Informatics at the Universities of Marburg and Göttingen. He served as President of GMDS and President of the International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA). Professor Engelbrecht became Director at the MEDIS-Institute for Medical Informatics and Systems Research in Munich. He served as President of the European Federation for Medical Informatics (EFMI).
Professor Wolfgang Kilian is Professor emeritus at the Institute for Legal Informatics of the Leibniz University Hannover. As an expert on data privacy, Prof. Kilian collaborated with Prof. Reichertz in the 1970s and 1980s.
Professor Thomas Deserno, Professor Reinhold Haux and Professor Michael Marschollek are Professors of Medical Informatics at the Peter L. Reichertz Institute for Medical Informatics of TU Braunschweig and Hannover Medical School, where Joana Warnecke, MSc is a research associate. Michael Marschollek is Director of the Hannover Campus, and currently Executive Director of PLRI. Thomas Deserno is Director of the Braunschweig Campus of PLRI. Reinhold Haux has served as President of IMIA and is currently President of the International Academy of Health Sciences Informatics (IAHSI).
